For the next 30 days I want to invite you to join me in some of the most simple, yet powerful and profound prayers that are biblically based. Effectual, fervent prayers do not have to be long, quite frankly, some of the most powerful prayers that I have found have been relatively short and simple requests, indicative of the faith, confidence, and relationship between God and his child.
Let’s begin with the prayer Eliezer, the servant of Abraham (Gen 24:12). Abraham wanted a spouse for his son Issac who was now 40 years old and had just lost his mother. Abraham, however, was very specific that not any woman would do for Issac. He wanted a woman from his own country, one of his own relatives. He then sent his servant Eliezar on the journey. He had a specific assignment or need and he needed God to respond right away.
Do you have a need that can’t afford to wait? You may need to pray the prayer of Eliezar!
“O, LORD, GOD OF ABRAHAM, GIVE ME SUCCESS TODAY!
Don’t hesitate to ask for the specific success that your soul crys out for, whether it be for yourself or another. When Eliezer prayed this prayer, the bible says, “before he finished praying…” Rebekah, the wife that was suitable for Issac, showed up!
My prayer for you is that as you lift your voice in faith today with the prayers of our fathers, you will have success TODAY---not tomorrow, not next week or next year but TODAY! The bible says when we do not allow the word of God to depart from our mouth we then have “good success”.
Know that God is only waiting on your faith and he is eager to answer your prayer. Can you use some success TODAY? ASK, BELIEVE, DECREE, AND EXPECT IT NOW!
